Elevate's Return to Call of Duty

by Team Elevate | June 14, 2018

Elevate is very pleased to announce that we are finally making our long-awaited return to Call of Duty esports! With the Call of Duty: WWII season in full force - and Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 looming on the horizon - we believe that this is the perfect time to re-enter a scene in which we have enjoyed great success in the past. With that said, the brand new #ElevateCoD roster will consist of Jared “Nagafen” Harrell, Michael “SpaceLy” Schmale, Steve “Mochila” Canle, and Mike “Blfire” Glushenok! We believe that this roster has the capability to return Elevate to the very top of Call of Duty esports, and we are beyond excited to work with a group of highly-respected competitors, which is exactly what these players are.

If you’ve been a fan of #ElevateCoD in the past, you’re likely already very familiar with Jared “Nagafen” Harrell. During Call of Duty: Black Ops 3, Nagafen made a name for himself playing for Elevate alongside the likes of Brice “Faccento” Faccento, Ulysses “AquA” Silva, and Tyler “FeLonY” Johnson. Nagafen showed his skill time and time again, particularly in the Search and Destroy game mode, and Elevate achieved multiple top-3 finishes during the course of Black Ops 3. After splitting from Elevate, he spent the majority of Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare as a member of Evil Geniuses, before joining Next Threat at the beginning of WWII. He now makes his much-welcomed return to Elevate, and he surely has the talent to take us straight to the top yet again. When asked how he feels about returning to Elevate, Nagafen had this to say:

“I’ve always enjoyed working with Elevate and I’ve had some of my best moments in Call of Duty under them. I’m excited to be back and I’m looking forward to replicating some of the same magic we had!”

Also making his return to Elevate is veteran Call of Duty player Michael “SpaceLy” Schmale. Early in his career, particularly in Call of Duty: Black Ops 2, he was very successful while playing for the likes of UNiTE Gaming and FaZe Clan, securing multiple top-8 finishes during this time. SpaceLy joined Elevate during Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare, enjoying a decent level of success, before competing under organizations including Team JusTus, Luminosity Gaming, and Ghost Gaming. SpaceLy has always been a very skilled player, and his experience earns him respect within the Call of Duty scene. Success has followed him wherever he has gone, and that will certainly be the case during his new time with Elevate.

While we are happy to welcome two past Elevate players back into our family, we are equally as excited to welcome two new faces into it as well. Steve “Mochila” Canle and Mike “Blfire” Glushenok, like SpaceLy, are Call of Duty esports veterans. Both have shown the ability to compete at a high level, particularly at the 2015 Call of Duty Championship during Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare. At this event, both of these two players shocked everyone by achieving top-5 finishes with teams that were not expected to compete at such a high level. Mochila achieved a 4th-place finish as a member of Prophecy, while Blfire finished in 5th-place with Automatic Reload. That event proved that these two have what it takes to win, and when you place them alongside Nagafen and SpaceLy, it creates an exciting prospect - one that could have positive results for Elevate

So when can you see this new team in action? Well, the answer is this weekend! The team will be competing at CWL Anaheim from June 15th through the 17th. Afterward, you will see them in the Last Chance Qualifier, where they will attempt to earn a spot at the 2018 Call of Duty World League Championship in August!

The future is bright for Elevate Call of Duty, and we can’t wait to see this new team in action. As an organization, we thank all of our fans for their support and for being patient with us over these past months. Elevate continues to grow as an organization daily, and there is no doubt that the #RedRebellion will stay strong for years to come. Be sure to keep an eye on our social media, as well as this website, to stay in the know on everything related to Elevate!
